I love Granny. She is tougher than diamonds and her soul as beautiful. Granny wasn't part of the Dust Bowl, but part of the return eastward once drought conditions eased. Recycling, sustainable living, farm-to-table, composting, and many more are not new ideas to her, these are a way of life. She passed these ideas and techniques on to her children and grandchildren. Here I will pass on not only her gems of wisdom but also others I've gathered that make frugal living not an idea as much as a way of sustainable life.
